Fife Zoo’s Cubs Club Presents The Big Toddle for Barnardo’s
Join us at Fife Zoo for a special Cubs Club event in support of Barnardo’s Big Toddle 2026.
On Thursday 25th June 2026, little explorers can take part in a fun, child-friendly fundraising walk around Fife Zoo, with safari-themed activities, refreshments and a certificate included.
This event is perfect for families, nurseries and early years groups.

What is The Big Toddle?
The Big Toddle is a fun fundraising walk designed especially for young children.
At Fife Zoo, children will follow a gentle half-mile route around the zoo, enjoying the sights and sounds of the animals as they toddle in support of Barnardo’s.
It’s a lovely way for children to get outdoors, move, explore, learn, and take part in something special for a brilliant cause.
What’s Included?
Each child taking part will receive:
Entry to The Big Toddle
A safari-themed activity pack
Juice and biscuits
A certificate to celebrate completing their walk
Face painting will also be available on the day for a small additional charge.
Safari-Themed Activity Packs
Every child taking part will receive a safari-themed activity pack, created with young children in mind.
The packs include fun activities such as: Animal face masks, Colouring sheets, Spot the difference, Find the animal, Missing letters, Complete the picture, Shadow matching, Zoo trail activities, and Safari scene activities.
The activity packs are designed to support early learning and align with the EYFS curriculum, encouraging creativity, observation, problem-solving, language development, mark-making and exploring the natural world.
Dress Up for the Day
Children are welcome to get into the spirit of the event by joining one of our fun themes.
Little Explorers
Come dressed as your favourite animal, wear an animal mask, or arrive ready for a safari adventure around the zoo.
Go Green for Barnardo’s
Wear green to show your support for Barnardo’s.
Dressing up is completely optional, but we’d love to see lots of little animals, explorers and green outfits on the day.
Fundraising for Barnardo’s
The Big Toddle at Fife Zoo is being held in support of Barnardo’s, helping to raise funds for their work with children, young people and families.
Sponsor forms are available to download from this page, so children can collect sponsors before the day.
A JustGiving page is also available for anyone who would like to support the fundraising online.
Information for Nurseries and Early Years Groups
We would love to welcome local nurseries and early years groups to The Big Toddle at Fife Zoo.
The half-mile route has been planned with young children in mind, making it a manageable and enjoyable outing for little legs. The event offers a lovely mix of outdoor learning, animal-themed activities, movement, fundraising and community involvement.
