Visitor Engagement Volunteer
Visitor Engagement Volunteer
We are looking for friendly, approachable volunteers to help support the visitor experience at Fife Zoo.
Our Visitor Engagement Volunteers play an important role in helping guests enjoy their day, whether that’s by welcoming visitors in key areas, chatting to the public about our animals, helping answer simple questions, or supporting the team in keeping public spaces clean and tidy.
This role may include helping to staff walkthrough areas, engaging with visitors in a warm, positive way, sharing basic information about the animals, and helping ensure our public areas remain welcoming throughout the day.
You do not need to be an animal expert to apply.
Full guidance will be given, and you will be supported by the Fife Zoo team. This role would suit someone who enjoys meeting people, is confident speaking to the public, and is happy to get involved with the day-to-day running of a busy visitor attraction.
Key tasks may include:

Gardening & Maintenance Volunteer
We are looking for practical, enthusiastic volunteers to help maintain Fife Zoo.
Our Gardening & Maintenance Volunteers play an important role in helping us keep the zoo looking tidy, welcoming and well cared for. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being outdoors, is happy to get stuck into hands-on tasks, and would like to support the day-to-day running of the zoo in a practical way.
Tasks may vary depending on the time of year and what is needed around the site, but could include gardening, planting, weeding, tidying public areas, helping with general upkeep, and supporting small maintenance jobs around the zoo.
You do not need specialist experience to apply, although any gardening, DIY, maintenance or practical outdoor experience would be very welcome. Full guidance will be given, and you will be supported by the Fife Zoo team.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping spaces looking their best, and is happy to work as part of a team.
