Christmas Shopping at the Zoo
This December, we’re doing Christmas shopping
a little differently.
On Saturday 12 December, Fife Zoo will open its doors from 4pm–7pm for a festive evening of shopping, food, Santa, and Christmas atmosphere.
With 38 stalls spread across indoor and outdoor areas, Christmas Shopping at the Zoo will bring together a fantastic mix of independent sellers, makers and small businesses, giving you the chance to pick up some lovely gifts while supporting local.
Expect plenty to browse, from handmade pieces and Christmas treats to gifts you will not find on the high street.
A Festive Evening at Fife Zoo
Entry is £5 for adults and just £1 for children aged 2–16, with under-2s free.
Every paid ticket also includes a free mince pie or fairy cake, so you can warm up with a festive treat while you shop.
Tea, coffee, sausage rolls and cakes will also be available throughout the evening.

Santa’s Coming Too
Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa.
Children can visit Santa’s Grotto for £5, which includes a gift from Santa to take home.
Grotto visits should be pre-booked. Visits will operate on a queue system during the evening, with Santa’s elves helping to keep everyone entertained while they wait.
Christmas Gifts That Give Something Back
If you’re looking for a present for an animal lover, we’ll also be offering 20% off all Fife Zoo memberships and animal adoptions on the night.
Everyone attending the event will receive a flyer with a discount code too, giving 10% off memberships and adoptions for the rest of December.
That means you can either pick up your gift while you’re here or think it over and come back later in the month.
What About the Animals?
As this is an evening Christmas shopping event, most of our animals will already be tucked up in bed by the time the market begins.
The main zoo areas will therefore be closed, although our reptiles and invertebrates will still be on show.
The evening will focus on the market itself — festive stalls, food and drink, Santa’s Grotto, and a cosy Christmas atmosphere around Fife Zoo.

Christmas Shopping at the Zoo takes place on Saturday 12 December from 4pm–7pm.
The event is accessible and our normal parking will be available.
Fife Zoo accepts both cash and card payments. Individual stallholders may have their own payment arrangements, so bringing both may be useful.
